Pakistan’s famous YouTuber Saadur Rehman, known as Ducky Bhai, finally shared the truth behind his arrest after 100 days of silence. On 7 December 2025, Ducky Bhai uploaded an emotional vlog where he explained everything—from the moment he was arrested to how his family suffered mentally and emotionally.
This article explains the entire incident in simple words.
The Day Ducky Bhai Was Arrested
On 17 August 2025, Ducky Bhai was travelling from Lahore Airport with his wife. Suddenly, NCCIA officers surrounded him and arrested him as if he was a dangerous criminal.
His bail was rejected twice. After spending months in custody, the Lahore High Court finally released him on 25 November on a security bond of 10 lakh PKR.
But what was his crime?
According to the case, Ducky was charged under:
- PECA 2016 (Section 13, 14, 25, 26)
- PPC 420
- 294-B
These were connected to the promotion of online gambling apps.
Why This Case Is So Confusing
Authorities claimed that Ducky promoted apps like:
- Binomo
- 1xBet
- Bet365
But here’s the surprising part:
✔ These same types of betting companies have been sponsors of Pakistan Super League (PSL) teams.
✔ Official PSL jerseys have carried similar sponsor logos.
✔ Even famous cricketers like Wasim Akram promoted betting-related apps publicly.
✔ When NCCIA was asked about Wasim Akram’s case, the Director said:
“This is out of my jurisdiction.”
So, the question is:
If promoting gambling apps is illegal, why are big corporations allowed to do it—but a YouTuber is treated like a criminal?
This shows a serious double standard in Pakistan’s digital laws.
What Happened Inside NCCIA Custody?
Ducky revealed shocking details in his vlog:
- His phone was seized.
- Officers forced him to unlock his crypto wallets.
- Around 9 crore 20 lakh rupees were transferred to unknown accounts.
- Reports claim that one investigating officer even took $300,000 into his personal bank account.
Official Reports Support Ducky’s Claims
- TechJuice confirmed financial misuse.
- Dawn News reported that NCCIA’s Additional Director Sarfaraz Chaudhry was removed from service.
- Six NCCIA officials were arrested for corruption and misuse of authority.
Ducky’s wife also filed an FIR regarding 4 crore 25 lakh rupees allegedly taken from them.
Who Rescued Ducky Bhai?
In his vlog, Ducky mentioned a “Big Brother”—possibly Military Intelligence—who stepped in to protect his family when things got out of control.
This raises another important question:
👉 If the law system worked properly, why did a third-party force need to intervene?
Is Ducky Bhai a Criminal or a Victim?
From Ducky’s emotional tone and the trauma he described, many viewers—including legal experts—believe he is a victim of a broken system, not a criminal.
His immediate cooperation, fear, and pressure explain why he handed over all passwords and account details within 23 minutes.
This behaviour matches how any ordinary person reacts in a sudden trauma situation.
The Bigger Problem: Pakistan’s Weak Digital Laws
The PECA law was originally created to fight cybercrime. But now:
- Journalists
- Influencers
- Content creators
…all can be targeted easily.
Reports show:
- In 2024, more than 1,000 cybercrime cases were reported
- 60% cases were never solved
- PECA violates multiple constitutional rights, like privacy and free expression
Even international outlets like Arab News and Voice of Vienna said that PECA is often used to silence people, not to deliver justice.
Final Thoughts
Ducky Bhai’s case is not just about one YouTuber.
It exposes bigger issues:
- Weak digital laws
- Corruption inside institutions
- Double standards between rich corporations and normal citizens
- Lack of proper protection for online creators
From everything revealed so far, it seems more likely that Ducky Bhai was not a criminal—
he was a victim of a system that needs serious reform.
